About the Event
Do you have an idea for a documentary? Would you like to know how to quickly fund, develop and produce a documentary, and then sell it to a network or production company in less than 60 days? Plus, get the inside scoop on how to keep production costs low, how to find buyer, AND most importantly - how to build a platform to elevate your career with the documentary to land other opportunities! All participants will have an opportunity to ask questions directly to speaker!
About the Speaker
Angela Marie Hutchinson has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television and the GRAMMY’s. She is a filmmaker and TEDx speaker of “Create Your Own Yes, When You Keep Hearing No," which landed Angela a mainstream book deal. Her book "Create Your Yes!" released at Barnes & Noble in July 2019. Angela also wrote and produced the movie, “Hollywood Chaos,” which aired on Hulu and other networks. She also produced and directed a feature documentary, H.U.S.H., that aired on PBS. She landed paid advances for both film deals.
Originally from the Midwest, Angela earned her B.S.E. in industrial & operations engineering from the University of Michigan. Currently, she is a social media professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She also works as a career coach, public speaker and business consultant. Angela’s clients call her The Dream Builder. In 2005, Angela founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps entertainment professionals pursue their careers. Angela has been recognized as a media and arts trailblazer by the U.S. Congress, Los Angeles mayor and Los Angeles city council.
Angela has appeared on BBC, CBS and NPR. For the 90th Academy Awards, BBC World News invited Angela to be a Live Commentator to cover Hollywood’s biggest night–the Oscars! She reside in Los Angeles with her husband of 16 years and their three young children.

*Our organization has a no refund policy. (i.e. We do not offer refunds-- not even for participant no-shows, speaker/topic changes or other unforeseen circumstances.)
