About the Event
Writers, Producers, Content Creators, and anyone wanting to sell a project of any kind for television, film, digital/streaming. Whether you have an existing pitch deck and need advice, or want to create a winning pitch deck that not only gets you in the room to pitch, but also sells or at the very least, leaves the door open for you to continue pitching the network, studio or production company. We also welcome active chat participation to encourage networking!
About the Speaker
Television Academy member Angela Marie Hutchinson has landed 17+ development deals with various production companies. She works as a showrunner, screenwriter, author, producer and director. After selling her first series as a show creator, she was hired by Brat TV to serve as showrunner and director for a new Facebook Watch series to oversee a $1.3M production budget. Then, she signed with Gersh. Prior, Angela was hired to write "A Christmas for Mary," for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, which continues to air as a holiday classic.
Angela has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television and the GRAMMY’s. Based on her popular TEDx talk, “Create Your Own Yes, When You Keep Hearing No,” Angela landed a mainstream book deal with Sourcebooks and Penguin Random House Audio published the audiobook of "Create Your Yes!" Originally from the Midwest, Angela earned her B.S.E. in industrial & operations engineering from the University of Michigan and a Cross-Media Journalism certificate from USC. Previously, Angela worked as a social media professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Angela has appeared on BBC, CBS and NPR. In her work as a journalist and moderator for live events, she has interviewed over 500 executives in the fields of business, entertainment, technology and law. For the 90th Academy Awards, BBC World News invited Angela to be a Live Commentator to cover Hollywood’s biggest night–the Oscars! In her leisure time, Angela enjoys trampoline aerobics and exploring new parks with her three young children and rocket scientist husband of 19 years. Her favorite drink–coffee of course!

Founded in May 2005, BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Admission cost is tax deductible. Upon receiving your RSVP, a confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours. Acceptable payments for the event include Check/Credit/Debit via the Paypal link above.
*Our organization has a no refund policy. (i.e. We do not offer refunds-- not even for participant no-shows, speaker/topic changes or other unforeseen circumstances.) We do however offer event credits when appropriate, upon board approval. Children under 16 are free if accompanied by a paying adult.
