About the Event
If you are looking to become a narrator for audio books with mainstream publishing houses or interested in directing book narrators for their sessions, you don't want to miss this event! All participants will be able to ask questions directly to the speaker.

About the Speaker
Adenrele Ojo has been the narrator for many audiobooks include Katie Couric’s, The Best Advice I Ever Got, Someone Knows My Name by Lawrence Hill, The Healing by Jonathan Odell, The Queen: Aretha Franklin by Mikal Gilmore, The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America by Marcus J. Moore, In Search of the Color Purple: The Story of Alice Walker’s Masterpiece by Salamishah Tillet, and Create Your Yes! by Angela Marie Hutchinson.

Ojo is a wearer of many creative hats: actress, voice-over artist, producer and photographer.  Raised around the theater literally, her late father was the Founder & Artistic Director of a Philadelphia theater.  She is a multi-nominated AUDIE finalist and a two time AUDIE Award winner, has received several Earphone Awards and was one of Audiofile’s Best Voices of the Year 2015. Adenrele is a professional actor and has performed in such plays as:  August Wilson’s Jitney and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (nominated for an L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award for Featured Actress) and The Ballad of Emmett Till (winner of the 2010 L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award & the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Best Ensemble) both at The Fountain Theatre.  As well as the Fountain’s production of CITIZEN: An American Lyric.  Some of her film credits include Family, ELEVATE and Lifetime’s Within;   When she is not recording, you can sometimes find her directing authors, celebrity actors and other audiobook narrators.

*Our organization has a no refund policy. (i.e. We do not offer refunds-- not even for participant no-shows, speaker/topic changes or other unforeseen circumstances.) We do however offer event credits when appropriate, upon board approval. Children under 16 are free if accompanied by a paying adult.
