About the Speaker
Aaron Edmonds is a Development
Creative Executive at Lionsgate Entertainment
for the Motion Pictures & Production group.
He grew up in San Diego, California and attended
Columbia University where he studied political
science and comparative ethnic studies. After
graduating, Edmonds worked as a deputy campaign
manager and community organizer in Harlem, focusing
on education initiatives. In 2010, Edmonds transitioned
into entertainment and began working at HBO
where he produced and edited promotional content
and behind the scenes extras. Edmonds moved
to Los Angeles in 2013 and worked as a post-production
coordinator for television series. In 2016,
Edmonds graduated from UCLA’s graduate
Producers Program where he was also an executive
trainee at Sony Entertainment. In 2017, Edmonds
was a Film Independent Project Involve Executive
Track Fellow. During the program he received
the Participant Media Executive Fellowship.
Edmonds currently sits on the executive board
of Lionsgate’s Multicultural Employee
Resource Group which advocates for a more inclusive
workplace and entertainment landscape through
programs that educate, activate, and celebrate
multicultural diversity and its global impact.
