About the Event
Are you seeking representation as a writer, director or content creator? Have you been querying literary managers and agents, but having no luck getting signed? Would you like to get insider information on what a literary manager looks for when signing on new clients and how they service their existing clients? Or perhaps you would like insight about the current marketplace for film and TV? If so, this is an intimate event that you do not want to miss! All participants will have an opportunity to ask candid questions directly to the speaker!

About the Speaker
Corey Trent Ackerman joined the Cartel in the fall of 2016 as a manager, where he represents writers and directors for film and television. Prior to joining, he was the driving force behind FreshMaker Media, a literary management and production company, representing TV writers, screenwriters and filmmakers in all media. Ackerman previously held the position of Vice President of Development and Production for Inferno Entertainment. Prior to joining Inferno, he spearheaded development for Southpaw Entertainment, producers of August Rush and The Space Between Us. His first executive position was Creative Executive at Red Wagon Productions. Prior to that, he was assistant to Dede Gardner, then Vice President of Production at Paramount Pictures. Ackerman holds a bachelor’s degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in New York.

*Our organization has a no refund policy. (i.e. We do not offer refunds-- not even for participant no-shows, speaker/topic changes or other unforeseen circumstances.) We do however offer event credits when appropriate, upon board approval. Children under 16 are free if accompanied by a paying adult.
