About the Event

Are you unsure how to find the right agent or unclear how to market yourself so that an agent wants to sign you? Whether you are a writer, actor, director or producer, if your goal is to sign with an agent in 2018, this is an event that you absolutely don't want to miss! You'll get insider tips on securing representation PLUS contact information for agents and a PROVEN STRATEGY to get an agent. All participants will be able to ask questions directly to speaker!

About the Speaker
Angela Marie Hutchinson is a former talent agent that represented actors and was repped at ICM as a producer. Currently, Angela is signed with a literary agency and will share her proven strategy on how to land representation from querying to getting signed and everything in between. Angela has been repped by agents as a casting director and producer. Through her current literary agent, Angela landed a mainstream book deal from Sourcebooks, largest woman-owned trade book publisher in U.S. Angela's book releases in 2019, based on her TEDx Talk, "Create Your Own Yes, When You Keep Hearing No."

Angela has worked for MGM, Warner Bros. Television and the GRAMMYs. She has also appeared on BBC World News, CBS News, NPR and FOX13. Angela's first feature film that she produced, wrote and cast, "Hollywood Chaos," starred Vanessa Simmons and aired on Hulu. Additionally, Hutchinson directed and produced the PBS documentary, “H.U.S.H.,” about Hollywood’s Uncovered Sexual Harassment. Angela has independently raised the funds to produce films, numerous media projects and organizational programs.

As the founder of BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that hosts events to help entertainment professionals elevate their careers, Angela has interviewed a plethora of agents and managers from boutique agencies to the majors.

*Our organization has a no refund policy. (i.e. We do not offer refunds-- not even for participant no-shows, speaker/topic changes or other unforeseen circumstances.) We do however offer event credits when appropriate, upon board approval. Children under 16 are free if accompanied by a paying adult.
