FOUNDER |
Angela M. Hutchinson,
Entrepreneur
This Chicago native drove cross-country at 22-years-old
to pursue her entertainment career in Hollywood. Now with 10 years
of industry experience, Mrs. Angela Marie Hutchinson has worked
for MGM, Warner Bros. Television, and the Grammys. Repped by the
Filmtrix Agency as a Casting Director, Angela recently cast Billy
Dee Williams and Lynn Whitfield among
other star names in the feature film, "The Trace." Angela
is also is the author of several literary works including screenplays
and two published books: a children's picture book, "Charm
Kids," and her adventure, comedic memoir entitled,
"Breaking
into Hollywood."
In 2009, Angela had her casting directorial debut
for a SAG-indie film that included a cast of rising
celebrities such as Tangi Miller (“Tyler Perry’s
Madea’s Family Reunion”), Persia White (“Girlfriends”),
David Ramsey (“Dexter”), among others. Since then, Angela
has cast several projects including feature films, web series and
short films.
Prior to casting, Angela worked as a talent agent
for two years at a boutique agency in Hollywood. There, she repped
actors, models, music artists and youth talent across the board.
She also oversaw the youth commercial and print modeling divisions.
She was featured on the cover of one of the entertainment industry's
leading publications, Backstage West,
and often participated in their "Ask an Agent" column.
A graduate of the University of Michigan,
Angela earned her B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering.
Also, she completed a certificate in Cross-Media Journalism at USC
on a full scholarship from the Maynard Institute. In January 2011,
Angela was selected to attend The Media Academy at Harvard
University for rising entrepreneurs and journalists. Angela
is a former Miss Teen Illinois Semi-Finalist and recipient of an
International Poet of Merit Award. She has been a featured speaker
at notable film festivals, showcases and conferences, as well as
within the faith-based community. In October 2005, Angela was elected
as the first African American president of The Scriptwriters
Network (SWN), since the non-profit organization was founded
in 1986. During her year tenure, she established diversity initiatives,
including partnering SWN with ABC/Disney's Talent Grant Program.
Angela Marie has a sincere passion for networking.
In May 2005, she founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD
(BiH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for aspiring professionals
to learn from established pros within the Film, TV, Music, Sports
& Fashion industries. Due to the non-profit organization’s
growth, over 2,000 participants from around the world have attended
the various educational events. Recently, Angela launched Hollywood
& Vine (H&V), a new entertainment trade
magazine published by BiH, to provide rising celebs with inspirational
and informative content on the business of breaking into Hollywood.
In addition to Angela's work in entertainment, she
is the editor of a law magazine and a freelance writer for an engineering
magazine. Angela is also active in her community and has served
on several boards. She was appointed to the Los Angeles
County of Education's Regional Occupation advisory committee
for the arts. In January 2009, she was appointed as a Los
Angeles City Official and co-chaired her neighborhood's
first "Day in the Park" event to introduce community stakeholders
to their city officials.
Angela is committed to balancing work with her family
and personal life. She has been married to her husband for 8 vibrant
years; they have two young children. In Angela's leisure time, she
enjoys mentoring youth, rollerblading, playing badminton, and spending
time with friends and family.

Maria Aceves, Actress & Independent
Producer
Repped commercially by the Osbrink Agency, Ms. Aceves
is a native of Bilbao, Spain. She is one of LA's fierce actresses
and independent producers. She moved to Southern California to utilize
her acting and business background in the heart of the entertainment
business.
With a strong background in business and finance,
communication, music and marketing, Maria is currently dedicating
her time to succeed in her acting and producing careers. Last year
she produced a short film "Manhattan Pictures", which
shot in NYC and she is working on several other projects at the
moment.
Maria actively collaborates with UNICEF and has a
strong interest in education and kids in need. Maria's true passion
is performing and communicating, spending time with family and friends,
bringing people together and learning languages and getting immersed
in different cultures. She also appreciates fashion and style. Maria
has been involved with Breaking Into Hollywood since the organization
was founded in 2005. |

Sarah-Elizabeth (Liz) Langford,
Actress
Managed by B.i.H. Entertainment, Sarah-Elizabeth Langford
had her feature film debut in the movie, “Three Can Play That
Game,” the sequel to “Two Can Play That Game,”
starring Vivica Fox and Morris Chestnut.
Born and reared in Atlanta , GA , Sarah-Elizabeth
graduated from the University of Michigan , where she received a
full gymnastics scholarship, and then went on to receive her J.D.
from Howard University School of Law. She was selected to enter
the prestigious Capital City Fellows program in 2004 and then worked
in the General Counsel’s Office of the Chief Financial Office
of the District of Columbia. She currently works for National Church
Residences as an Affordable Housing Developer.
While in law school at Howard, Sarah-Elizabeth was
crowned Miss District of Columbia 2002. Her platform at the Miss
America Pageant was "Mentoring the Youth of America."
Sarah-Elizabeth continued her pageant activities by winning the
Miss District of Columbia USA pageant in 2004 and competing in the
nationally televised 2005 Miss USA pageant.
She was also selected to compete in the Miss USA Fear
Factor reality television show on NBC. Miss Langford won Fear Factor
and contributed $25,000 to a youth mentoring charity, the United
Youth Adult Conference. Sarah-Elizabeth has also starred in films
including, “The Wedding Date,” produced by K. Corner
and “Run.”
Wilmer Jackson, Sports Agent
Founder and Partner of the Axiom Sports Group, Wilmer
“Will” Jackson, splits his days and nights recruiting
Athletes while managing the careers of musical talents such as Hip
Hop / R & B Producer “Street Symphony”, Producer/Songwriter
“Vice” aka “International V” along with
Singer Songwriter sensation L2. And let us not forget to mention
the next teenage Hip-Hop/Alternative star Ubayy pronounced “You-Bay”
Gooseberry. Under his imprint “Hot 16 Entertainment”
Will strives to find the freshest and newest talent with the quality
2nd to none.
Born and raised in the gateway city of St Louis Mo,
Wilmer Jackson-Spencer graduated from Tennessee State University
with a Masters Degree in Sports Admin and an Undergraduate Business
Degree Concentration in Management. Will’s corporate sales
background ranges from top sales rep at Fortune 500 computer companies
to one of the highest sellers in the mortgage business.
Residing in Atlanta Georgia, Will maintains his home
base in the “Hollywood of the South”. His wide network
of resources, diverse background in sports and entertainment, and
business skill sets are utilized night in and night out throughout
various events and entertainment platforms, making him a stable
rock in the business for direction, connections and guidance throughout
the industry. This Board Member brings the face you can trust with
a passion to help those willing to help themselves achieve unthinkable
dreams and aspirations of success in the world of entertainment.

Kirk Bovill, Actor/Writer/Musician
In short order, Kirk Bovill has transitioned from
a successful career as an international marketing executive into
that of a working actor and writer with recent roles on CSI, Criminal
Minds, Leverage, Ghost Whisperer, a recurring on Days of Our Lives,
Eleventh Hour and Sons of Anarchy. His film debut was the 2009 Sundance
world premiere of White Lightnin’ as the redneck killer, Long.
He’s worked on a number of feature films that are scheduled
for 2010 and 2011 releases, including Michael Mann’s “The
Fields” which stars Sam Worthington, Chloe Moretz and Jeffrey
Dean Morgan. A long-time published writer, Bovill has contributed
articles to magazines and newspapers. With a number of screenplays
under his belt, he’s currently pitching his cop episodic that
was developed with Michael Warren.
Along with his wife, Joni, they co-founded the indie
record label, Elmo Records in 1999 and have released two critically
acclaimed CDs. They’ve appeared on TVOne’s “The
Gospel of Music with Jeff Majors” and TBN. Their songs that
are written by Kirk and preformed by both have been licensed for
film and television.
Kirk was also an accomplished track and field coach
at the NCAA level, having been a part of staffs at the University
of Nebraska and LSU that won five national titles and sent a number
of athletes to the Olympics.
He holds degrees from the University of Nebraska and
Louisiana State University. Kirk and Joni have been happily married
for over fifteen years and call Los Angeles home.
Joni Bovill, Actress/Singer/Writer
The Mississippi native continues to carve her way
into Hollywood with recent notable roles in Nasser Entertainment’s
feature “What Would Jesus Do?” opposite John Schneider
as well as television shows How I Met Your Mother, Cold Case and
The Young and The Restless. Joni is best known as a commercial and
print actress, having spots with Fruit of the Loom, Walmart, Chrysler,
Motorola and Sprint.
Joni is an accomplished writer and singer. She’s
contributed to a number of publications with her insightful writing.
As a singer, she’s recorded on a number of projects, including
the critically acclaimed CD’s released by the indie label
Elmo Records that was co-founded by Joni and her husband, Kirk.
An active member in the community, Joni focuses on empowering young
women, suffering from self-esteem issues.
A requested speaker, she’s currently working
on her first book on that subject. Joni holds a BS in Business from
Southern Mississippi University and a MS in HR Management from Golden
State University. Prior to focusing on a full-time career in the
entertainment industry, she spent a number of years in sales and
marketing. Married to Kirk for fifteen years, they call Los Angeles
home.

Kiri Stevens was
born in Cincinnati, Ohio and his parents Stilianos and Angela immigrated
to the states to create better opportunities for their children
and they knew exactly what they were doing!!
Kiri earned varied scholarships that totaled over
120K so he could attend Xavier University, one of the most recognized
and prestigious colleges in the world. In college he majored in
Pre-Law and Theatre and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ever since he
was a child, Kiri loved to perform in plays at school. He loved
to entertain people and tell a great story. His first major print
job and commercial he booked when he was only 5 years old for a
popular Chili company back home and he also did print campaign for
Burger King! Throughout his years in Ohio, he got involved in many
theater schools that Ohio had to offer and always trained extensively,
but always knew that acting was his true passion regardless of what
others felt he should do. He got with another agency in Akron, Ohio
and he studied with them for 1 year, where he would drive 3 hours
to the class, take the 4 hour class and then drive 3 hours back
for an entire year.
Before he moved to Los Angeles officially, he competed
at the IMTA convention and got lots of callbacks. He came out to
meet with possible representation and instantly obtained management.
He finally moved to Los Angeles and started booking immediately.
His IMDB page is filled with credits and he is represented by some
of the best agents in town. He is studying with Hollywood’s
finest, became SAG within the first 4 months of moving here and
currently can be seen on several film, television and commercial
programs. Finally, Kiri is also writing and completing a memoir
that is set to inspire and encourage millions of people with his
struggle to overcome Obesity. He's lost over 250 pounds through
hardwork, discipline and a strong work ethic! At only 25, we can
only imagine What the future holds for this young man? A whole lot!!

INDUSTRY LIAISON |
Actor, screenwriter and animator Doug
Jackson has over 10 years of entertainment industry experience.
Inspired by the burst of African-American film and television talent
during the 1990’s, Doug moved to Los Angeles to become a filmmaker.
Shortly after arriving in L.A., Doug developed a Saturday morning
cartoon for Walt Disney TV Animation and was hooked. In the years
that followed, Doug became an actor, screenwriter and voice over
artist. Doug has written feature screenplays and TV episodes on
spec. Moreover, his membership in the Organization of Black Screenwriters
has contributed much to his growth as an artist. Doug currently
chairs the OBS Film Development Committee, and served as OBS Vice-President
from 2006-2008. He also established the annual OBS Original Script
Contest, which grants cash prizes, and provides access to network
television executives and film production companies. In addition,
Doug has created and moderated various industry panels with OBS
and the Hollywood Black Film Festival. Currently, he also chairs
the OBS Film Production Committee and has produced two short films.
